Wow, what a difference a great company makes! I was left in a terrible situation by a security company I inherited from the prior owner. I agreed to pay them a lot of money to move my security system around the corner prior to finishing my basement. After working for 6 hours on a job that was supposed to take 4 hours, the company left my system in a non-functional status and would not return to fix it. Fortuitously, I contacted Victor Security based on their excellent reviews. Robin quickly got me in touch with their technical team and set up a date to install a whole new system for less than the other company was changing to move my old system. Eric showed up and worked very quickly, identifying all the peripherals and connecting a modern system, in less time than it took the other company to relocate the old system. As you can imagine, I was in a quite stressful situation and Victor Security quickly got me back on the right track. I waited 3 months to post this to ensure all systems were working well-- and everything is excellent. Wonderful company that actually cares about their customers and has excellent service and expertise. I highly recommend going with this excellent company, you will not be disappointed!

Have been a client for nearly a decade now. Victor has always been quick to respond to my questions or concerns and I’ve been happy with the service. But I was particularly reminded how great they are when I had my windows replaced recently. I figured I would have to get all new sensors..but was told that was not necessary they can use the old sensors. Which I feel as tho other companies would have taken full advantage of my naivety and just sold me a whole new system. That kind of customer service is just rare these days. They came out quickly to attach old sensors to new windows and upgrade the system to run off of cellular. Again..just stellar service from the people who work in the office to on-site installation.

Victor Security repaired my residential alarm system that was recently installed by another alarm company who never completed the work. I was amazed that in order to keep the cost reasonable and quickly get everything up and running, they were able to do this solely over the phone using facetime. Within 10 minutes of my call to Victor Security, the owner of the company (Eric) called me back and quickly diagnosed the problem and guided me every step of the way to fix the issues. Alarm systems can be pretty complicated but Eric is an expert at his craft which was very impressive. After he fixed the problem, he did some additional programming on his end that added functionality to the system. They also now provide me with monthly security monitoring at a fair price. I would absolutely use Victor Security for all of my future security needs that may arise.

I was with them for several years in Philly. We recently moved and will call them today to resume service. Excellent customer service. I like that it’s a family run company, you get real people who are very invested in the customer experience. No waiting for hours to talk to a call center. They can trouble shoot over the phone, but if something needs to be looked at in person, they quickly send someone. Monthly service fees are below what you’d pay for ADT or another big brand company. I don’t understand why someone would go with ADT - it’s a no brainer to go with Victor.

Before selling our home, the township required a certification of an existing security system that the previous owners had installed, and that we never used. We didn't even know the code numbers. Victor Security helped us recover the system and get it certified. Great communication and service.

Just wanted to give you some feedback on the Alarm & Camera we purchased from your company. I had been thinking about putting an alarm in my family's Elkins Park home for several years. Finally, after several companies and speaking with Erica, I decided to go with Victor Security. She assured me that the alarm would be installed in a professional manner and that her company would provide the service we sought. I also liked the fact that Victor is a a local business and that, at any moment, we could reach a "live person."
Our alarm was installed on April 24 and within seconds of the installation, I received the Certificate of Insurance for my home owner's insurance discount and a follow up email to check in and make sure the alarm was working properly and we understood the system.
I would like to thank Erica for her excellent customer service, answering all my questions, being polite and courteous and a pleasure to work with. Definitely, Five Stars from us!!

This is a great residential security firm. I have used ADT at all our other homes, but this home came pre-wired for VICTOR and glad it did as they were much more personable and friendly. They are SUPER customer service oriented, easy to reach by email or phone and always responsive. I have had their Tech, Eric out to the home for install and couple times more, and he is one of the best I ever met in this business (and we have used residential security almost 15 years). This is a great company and I highly recommend them. Before we moved from another city, I worked with the owner (Eric) by phone and email for several weeks as part of choosing a company and a system. He listened carefully to my needs, explained all of the options, and made a recommendation at a very competitive price. The day after we moved in, Eric was at the house as scheduled, and installed the system himself, explaining every aspect of the operation. Even more important, as I have had questions or have made changes (we installed wireless communications), Eric and his team are always very responsive, professional and patient. I have been using monitoring from Victor Security for 8 years and 4 houses. This family-run business is 100% professional and I can't recommend it highly enough. The thing I like most is that they are nice. You need a flexible payment plan for installation? They'll work with you. Need something installed on a tight timeline? Consider it done. They are also very courteous--unlike some installers (thinking in particular about a company that rhymes with Romcast) they consider aesthetics when they install equipment and wiring. They don't just slap something together that's quickest and easiest for them. Also...they clean up after themselves!! Like, they carry hand vacs and clean up drywall dust or whatever they have left behind. So nice!
Did I also mention that they are by far the most reasonably priced company in the area? They'll give you a good enough deal on the equipment...but where you really save is the monitoring. WAY cheaper than any other place I looked. And they have all the new stuff--internet monitoring, remote on/off, HD security cameras, etc. They are great!

I have used Victor Security for 21 years now. It was recommended to my wife and I when we bought our new home. I still remember the care that Victor Security installation staff took to wire their system together so that only the small sensors were visible throughout our home. We had all the doors, windows and garage fitted out and also had several broken glass sensors and heat sensors installed. In early February, about seven years ago I was robbed, horribly, I was a single mom, living with my two young sons in a three-story row house. My neighbor, Gary, had researched every security firm, and had engaged Victor about a year or so prior to my robbery. I called Victor Security for help. . Who better to see at my house at such a sad, emotional time, but an angel of a person in the form of Gerald Victor. He listened to my story, as if it were the first one he had ever heard. And it WAS an emotional one. He toured my house with me, made recommendations, and even TALKED ME OUT OF SPENDING MORE, UNNECESSARY, MONEY!! You see when you are robbed, you want everything armed, even your basement windows, which already have steel into the foundation of your house. He could have taken much more of my money, but he did not. He PATIENTLY, reviewed the alarm pad with me, showing me shortcuts, and reviewing, and reviewing, and never showing any sign of impatience. I am a loyal customer of Victor Security, and lifelong fan of Gerald Victor, a fine example of how we should all act. Set up alarm system in conjunction with current system.
The team was very accommodating on timing and clean and efficient with the install and suggested options. Monthly charge is reasonable and in line or better than competition.
Had a problem with a malfunctioning window sensor. On 2 different occasions, had a technician from our then security provider (a large national chain), come to our home to fix the problem. The first visit, they did absolutely nothing and said they would return with a new sensor. We were charged $255. When they didn't return for over 2 weeks, I called and set up a 2nd visit. That technician said they couldn't install a new sensor without drilling new holes up from our basement. I told them that was unacceptable. I researched Angie's list for a reputable security company and chose Victor because of the other comments and also because they were a family owned business. Eric Victor was the technician who arrived promptly, analyzed the problem, replaced the sensor and problem solved. Total cost was $135 and that included $60 for 4 new sensors. I switched my monitoring service to Victor at a 20% savings. I will use Victor Security for any and all home security alarm problems or upgrades in the future.

Robyn was extremely helpful. I had called Victor for my rental unit as well as my own house. I was told by the security com. I was using that my rental unit needed a new updated alarm system. I called Victor to see what they could do and they were able to make repairs to the current system which saved me over $500.00
Victor came out to my house to fix a faulty sensor and I was hoping they could switch me over to their system. Unfortunately my current system needed a code that couldn't be retrieved BUT Eric was nice and replaced my faulty sensor-free of charge!

When I contacted Victor Security I was desperate because my home alarm system wasn't working and I was getting jerked around by now former provider (ASG). After I informed ASG that my alarm failed, I was told that they would send someone to fix the problem. Instead of repairman, ASG sent a salesman to my house, who lied to me about the problem with my alarm an tried to con me into buying unnecessary equipment replacements. I then contacted another big company (ADT) to get their recommendation about the equipment replacement ADT's salesman was honest, but their equipment prices were very high and their service contract require a 3 year commitment with a no-fault cancellation penalty of 70% of all the remaining monthly monitoring fees.
I was determined to find a reputable local alarm company that would not try to trick me into buying unnecessary equipment upgrades or rope me into outrageous service contract. with the local phone book and Angie's List, I found Victor Security. Victor sent their technician the same day called. He was friendly and efficient; he fixed my problem and lowered my monthly fee with a month to month contract. I am extremely happy with Victor Security

From the first phone call we placed we were impressed Victor's responsiveness. We spoke to Robin regarding the initial installation and she was professional and courteous. Robin scheduled a set up date that accommodated our schedules. The system was up and running in no time. We had electrical work done that required the system to be reset. Every problem that I experienced prior to their arrival was rectified in less than one half hour. On Tuesday March 7, 2013, I contacted Victor Security and indicated that I was going to change my service to Comcast because I was having problems with my alarm service and telephone line. I thought that if I changed everything to Comcast, They would rectify the problem. When the serviceman arrived, He immediately went to work and traced every line. He determined that when Comcast came to my service my home, They hooked up the equipment wrong and that led to the problems I was having. In no time at all, they not only serviced my alarm system but fixed the problem that Comcast had caused. Victor Security went extra mile to only rectify the problem but save me a lot of energy. Description of work:
Our house alarm had a failure and our usual alarm company was of little to no help. They offered to send out an expensive subcontractor but had no promise of a solution. A friend recommended Victor and they came the same night (even though it was a weekend). When the system was beyond a simple reset, they even located the original installer (who was a sub for the home builder) and for a small price, had a new key pad installed and working before the weekend was out!
Moreover, the pwner was very concerned that the cost of the repair be reasonable and was concerned that I was happy and felt safe
I switched my monthly service to them the next month and couldn't be happier.
